How do I charge a credit card that is saved on file?
How do I charge a credit card that is saved on file?
I understand that you can manually add a card & charge it but once the client has saved their own credit card on file, how do I manually charge it?
I was able to do this when using Wave so I am hoping this is something I can continue to do.

Hey @GirlBossSolut!
Welcome to the Seller Community 💫
With a stored card on file, you can charge your customer with the Square app at a future visit or with a Square Invoice, all without ever using the physical card.
Here are the instructions to charge a card on file using the Square app:
Firstly add items to your cart or a enter a custom amount.
Tap Charge > Customer Cards on File.
Select a customer with a card on file > tap Charge to select a payment card for the transaction.
Complete the payment flow.
Make sure that charging card on file is a payment method you accept within Settings in the app. Let me know if that does or does not work for ya! ⚡️

Hey @Zanluxurytransp,
Thanks for writing in and welcome to our community!
Whether a transaction was processed via card on file, or in person, doesn't impact transfer speed! Most sellers opt for automatic next business day transfers, but instant or manual transfers are available too.
You can learn more about the different transfer settings available here. Please let us know if you have any further questions, we're happy to help!
