We are a neighborhood association who has a ticketed event every year as our fund raiser. We have an art show as one stop along the show. We would like to have a single square checkout for all of our vendors (maybe 10) that can collect monies for them all and then distribute after the event. We would like to know if any square users have ever done something similar, and how you did invoices, as each vendor has a different tax ID. Thank you so much.

If you are trying to apply the purchases towards each companies tax Id then you would have set up each company with an individual Square account. you can't apply individual transactions towards different vendors and tax ids.

Thank you, that’s very helpful. Is there any reason these vendors can’t share a square reader? Pace at this event would be such that we could set up each vendor with their own app and account on their device and then pass the reader to each other if that could work. We would like to help the vendors out who have not previously done something like square and would like to be able to accept credit cards. Thanks again for all your help.

Readers can be shared between accounts. That will be no problem. The problem arises when group A is swiping a card and group Z at the other end of the meeting hall needs to swipe at the same time. classic swipe readers are free, so get a few.
Setting up accounts for other vendors sounds challenging. SSN or EIN is needed as well as a bank account, business tax number, etc...
