Deleted Item Help

I removed an item from my inventory. However, the picture of the item still shows up on my website. When you click on the item it tells you item not found (error 404). I have checked all of my avenues to make sure this particular item was deleted. So, it shows up nowhere except on the website. How do I delete that picture off my website?

Thanks in advance for any wisdom!

Hi Riverofgrace,

Just a thought or two - did you republish your site after you removed the item?   Also, before you retested your site, did you clear your web browser's cookies, history, temp files, etc.?   (It's always best to start fresh with your web browser after making changes to a web site.)

Hi JK,

Thank you for the words of wisdom. I went in and re-published my site. I also removed my browsers cookies, etc. The picture still shows on the website. However there are no other avenues for me to delete it. It’s as if it is a ghost picture.

I am having some sort of sync issue with my own website, I have opened a support ticket because items not on sale are showing up in the "is on sale" field, and earlier this week I had an issue where I turned off stock tracking and an item still said sold out.

I would suggest if its still there 24 hours later, open a support ticket

@isabelle do you know how often the websites are supposed to sync with the DB, or might there be an issue with sync across multiple sites?

How frustrating, @JTPets! I'm sorry to hear about the trouble with your website so far. If you haven't already, give unpublishing, and re-publishing your site. Here's how:

1. From your Square Online Overview page, go to Website > Site Preferences.

2. Select Unpublish.

3. Go to Website > Edit Site > Publish.

Please let us know how you go!
