Customer Details
We are a not-for-profit organization and want to use a Square reader to take donations at an event. Is there any way for us to get a report that will allow us to link the name of a donor (Customer) with each successful Transaction? We must be able to do this.
Thanks.

Thanks for signing up with Square! We're honored we have many not-for-profit organizations on board.
The best strategy for you is to set up your customer directory, so that each time a payment is taken you can record their information. Then you can go back to the Customers section of your Dashboard and see a list of the people who donated.
Here's the article on how to add customers to your directory from the Square App: https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/5532-manage-your-customer-directory-from-the-square-app

Hi George,
We are attempting to do the same thing. We set up our customer directory, but when we go to the Customers section of our Dashboard, we don't see any information on individual customers, just a summary. We are looking to figure out a way to get a report of which customers donated and what the amount was.
Thanks!

Hi @TheGowSchool, thanks for being part of Square! You should be able to find details on your customer's purchase when you click their name in the Customer Directory. (This support article has more info.)
If you want to write down the donation amount each time, you can also record in the notes section of that customer's profile. After the sale is made, tap the icon next to New Sale (it shows a person with a plus) and either create a new customer or add this sale to an existing customer's profile. Either way, you can add a note with the date and the donation amount.
Hope that helps!

@Stephane - This feature is currently limited to our US customers. I'll be sure to let you know if this changes! Thanks for your interest!

Great question! See the instructions above for creating your Customer Directory. There you can input telephone numbers and birthdays.

Hi I think they meant is there anyway to ask the purchaser for additional information? I too need to capture more specific information from my customer. I'm selling tickets for family reunions and need to capture info such as
name on tickets And t shirt sizes.
Im interested in also learning if we can insert word file or fillable form. I need my customers to be able to fill out information
is this possible?

@Hamfamjam You can collect all of that information and enter it in under "Notes" in your Customer's directory profiles but we don't have a way to automatically prompt your customer's for that information. I absolutely see how that would be a very useful feature and I will share that request out with our Product Liaison team.
