COMPs: How to see list of what items were comp'd?
Comps... I see the number of comps and I see the $$ amount of comps. Where do I find out what was comp'd?
Real Example
Restaurant
My employees can eat up to $10 of whatever they want per shift.
We now use the Comp option to track this.
Employee comp's $20.05 which was 25 items. Item count is high and I want to see what was comp'd to find the error.
Surely there must be a list of comps per date range somewhere, can't find it.

Greetings, @YoYogurt — welcome to the seller community!
Thanks for bringing this up. I think I know what you're looking for — to find this information, head over to your Transactions tab > set proper date range > Export > Items Summary CSV. A spreadsheet will download to you computer. You can see which items have been comped by referring to the Item Name and Discounts & Comps columns.
Does this get you where you need to be? Please let me know if I'm missing the mark, or if you have any other questions. We'll take another look.

The comps and voids column on this report shows a total dollar value (retail price, not cost). It doesn't say how many of an item were comped, and it doesn't show what the cost was for the item (super useful for industries where cost varies by vendor, and sometimes you have to purchase based on availability rather than cost.
For example, if I have 300 jugs of acid in my chemical inventory, there might be four different receiving costs for different quantities. If Square uses FIFO, it shouldn't be that difficult to create a report that shows the total number of an item comped, as well as the total cost, right?

Thanks for sharing this feedback and including how you'd like to use this feature in your day to day, @SeminolePool!
The ability to track the cost of goods for items that are comp'd would currently be considered a feature request. I'll pass your suggestion on to the Square for Retail team for consideration.
