I think something has recently changed on Square so that now the dashboard screen (on the web not on an app) is showing my company's original location on the dashboard as the default. Is there any way to change this so when employees are running end of day stuff and look at the dashboard, the info they are seeing is automatically showing for the location where they are?

Hello @cmonster42! The Dashboard will always default to the first location created. You can easily change what location you're looking at by using the drop down at the top of your screen. Check out the image below:

Actually, it doesn't always default to the first location created. For the longest time it was defaulting to my second location on the computer at my second location. Then, this weekend it started defaulting to the first location at both. Today, it seems to be back to the other way. I would like to set it so that it always defaults to the location I am at. I know this must be possible since I am asked which location I am posting about when I come to this forum. If you can get that info from us for this forum, then you should be able to get it (and use it) for the actual dashboard, right?

I did some further testing @cmonster42! So it turns out that the Dashboard will select the location you were using during your last session. Which explains why mine never changes! So make sure to flip back to the location you want to start with before signing out! 

Currently we don't have a setting that can adjust the default location for the Dashboard. The Seller Community was built by Lithium, so it doesn't necessarily operate on the same principals as the Square Dashboard.
