Add a TIP column to my online orders export file?

I can easily see total credit card tips received each day. But, now with the online store, the tips received for certain orders need to go to a different set of employees. Right now, I am exporting the orders, adding a column labeled TIPS, and going in to each order to type in the tip amount for the non-taproom sales and then subtracting that from the tipshare in our taproom for the day. Tedious. Isn't there a better way?

Can you try the following for me?

 

1) Go to Transactions in the Dashboard. Filter by eCommerce Integrations:

 

 

 

2) Go to Export > Transactions CSV:

Thank-you! Yes, that provides the tip information. I just wish I could export the following information all in one CSV file:

Customer Name

Address (street, city, zip)

Phone number

Email

Tip Amount

 

We have been doing delivery routes from our brewery to cities up to 3 hours away. Right now the only way to turn on the "delivery" option is to define a radius. That doesn't work for us for several reasons - one of which is it would be illegal for us to deliver beer across state lines, and we are not far from the state line. So to get around this challenge we made an item. For example, if you add item "Delivery Route to Cedar Rapids on May 16" we know that you want us to deliver your beer to you as we have advertised on Facebook. So to organize ourselves for the delivery route we need to know the above information - as well as weed out the online orders that intend to pick up at the brewery. If there's any advice you have on how to make that easier please let me know!

I know we're looking to develop more customizable reports, so perhaps that's something we can offer in the future. In the meantime, if you view your customers profiles, it should show you customer name, address, phone number, email (as long as it's been collected), and their purchase history. However, exactly what you're looking for isn't exportable at this time. Thanks for surfacing this! 🌸

We are a bakery and are setting up our online store so that people can preorder items for pickup several days in advance. We have different staff working different days, and what I'm wondering is if someone places a preorder and includes a tip, is the tip applied right away (for the people working that day) or is it applied on the day of pickup? 

 

I would like whoever actually prepares and packs the order to receive the tips. Is there a way to do this?

Tips will be recorded at the time the order is placed, because that is when the payment is made. I hope this helps clarify how tips work with online orders, @KingstonBread - but let us know if you still have questions!

Hi Valentina-- if we are automatically importing tips into paychecks based on the hours our employees are clocked in, will the tips from online orders be imported as well?  I read somewhere that importing from online store is not supported at this time. If not, do we have to manually add those tips to our employees' paychecks? Thank you!

It sounds like what you'd like to accomplish will be a somewhat manual process at this time.
