   1. Stand
   2. Terminal
   3. Register
   4. a Cell or Tablet 
2. Is your POS connected to the Internet
3. Are you sure the Decline is not because of insuficiant funds or stolen card?
4. Has your Square account been approved and Verified by Square to take payments?

What is your procedure for attempting to take a Payment?

Are you entering a Custom amount?

Are you Scanning Barcodes to add items from your Square Catalog?

Are you Selecting Items to charge a customer?

When used in the United States, it is normal.

Where did you setup your account?

If you set it up in any Country but China it will not work.  I can not use my current account even in Canada let alone in China.  Like alot of things even if you use a VPN certain Websites can tell if your using a VPN and still block you from any access then.
