Sale price synching website/POS

We need to have the sale price we put online on our websites sync with the POS system.

I know this has been brought up before but does not seem to be taken seriously by Square.

I have a "SALE" section on my website, I also have a bricks and mortar store and most of my business is done by walk in traffic.  But the sale price I entered for the website is not reflected on the POS.  When I change the price in the POS is no longer shows as a sale price on the website.

My sale items are not a simple percentage off, creating a discount for a hundred items is not reasonable.  We need a sale option on the POS that will sync from the website and vice versa.

Hello, BakingLife

At this time, Square Point of Sale is missing a Sale Option and because of that Sale Prices do not sync over. I will share your interest with the Square Online Product Team for their visibility and consideration. Thank you for taking the time to post here.

This is a huge issue for us too - I can either have it show up as ON SALE online OR I can reduce the price both places, but not be able to publish it as a sale price.  We really need it to work for both as a sale price so my customers and staff don't have conflict over this.

Hi there, @icyoutoo

This feature is something that Square is still working on. I know this function is super important for many businesses to have and so does our Product Team. Keep checking back for updates on the POS capabilities this year. There are some great things coming!

Yes! This feature should be a basic setting on Square. We have a catalogue with over 1000+ items and to have to go in and manually update prices, discounts, and coupons is absolutely wild to me.

Just encountered this problem also. Have to adjust the price to the sale price but then on the website you loose the little sale icon. Definitely not ideal. Great if this could be added the update list! Thank you 😊

This is a huge pain for us as we are creating a whole "sale" section in our shop.

Hello there @BakingLife

The Square Online product team is working hard on making Square Online features available across Square. As you can tell, at this time, this feature hasn't been rolled out just yet. Thank you for the follow-up.

I've run into this problem in the past as well and found a makeshift solution. It's a bit more work, but you can add in a Discount for those items that are on sale through the Dashboard that's the same amount as the sale price. Just make sure to uncheck the box to automatically apply the discount to online orders when setting up the discount. This way the Discount covers your POS sales and the Sale Price covers your online sales.

I reread your initial post and realized you probably already know this..

However, Discounts will show up on your website. Would it be any easier to just start there and not bother with using the sale price feature?
