Husband and Wife owners

Hello!

 

My wife and I are opening a coffeehouse that is a multi member LLC. I set up the square account and added my wife as a 'team member'. Would it have been better to not add her as a team member since she is an owner and us both just utilize the credentials used to create the account? Neither of us is on the payroll nor do we track our time.

I think I can provide some clarity here. As I'm sure you have come to find out during your activation and set-up process, Square Accounts are currently only authorized to have one formal Account Owner listed. Obviously, this poses issues with businesses that have more than business owner - so we recommend either sharing main login credentials with the co-owner, or assigning them a role under Team Management that has full authority on account specific actions.

 

I would take a look at this threaded answer from @Fresh1 concerning sharing login information or setting up a co-owner underneath Team Management.

Actually, one more quick question. If we decide to just use my login credentials, should I deactivate her as a team member since I already created her?

Does square still have only one owner account? We have 3 people who we would like to have access. We cannot share account credentials because 2FA is enabled.
