Question of the Week- What would YOU do with unlimited funds for your biz, (with a catch).

Imagine this- you have unlimited funds for 24 hours.. what would you do in your business? Give me the pragmatic and the FANTASTIC!

Some ideas for our biz (we own a crystal shop) beyond paying off our line of credit and a HUGE inventory buy (remember that game show Supermarket Sweep.. I bet it would feel like that)...

I'd also make arrangements for us to attend the Gem Shows in France & Munich (I'd LOVE to check out the European shows but they just aren't practical).

If I had time- new laptops.... one of those polaroid aura photography setups (they're like 25k). And an old school Zoltar machine!

I'm going to add my own constraints on top.

It has to be something that happen in that 24 hours and be accomplished within say 2 weeks for delivery. (eliminating pre-paying for the next 10 years of supplies or a new barn that will take a year to order and build)

Two new Rivian R1S Gen 2 for owners, about 80k each
Two new Bouldin Lawson Maxi Fillers, they're in stock at $29k each
Four new Electric Cushman carts for pulling racks around the property
New Semi and trailer as mine has 1.3 million miles on it, combo pushing 250k
New iMacs and MacBooks
30 new nice chairs for the employee breakroom
swamp cooler for the checkout area of the greenhouse to help cool the 100 degreee plus temps.
Finally get that Star Trek: The Next Generation Pinball machine I've wanted for the last 30 years
A 4 hour run through Menards to stock up on parts and pieces and stuff for the tool and repair and maintenance building.
Probably an hour on Supplyhouse.com ordering tools and parts

I would pay off debts that are attributed to my business, remodel my studio, and take a huge breath after years of hard work and constant struggles. As is life lol

I am in the planning stages right now.

I would love to buy 8.5' x 26' cargo trailer.  Would love a 50' semi trailer but might limit me on where I could go.

Have all the right equipment installed to serve as a concession stand; Pizza, hotdogs, popcorn, cotton candy, drinks, ice cream

All the electrical ran, and water pipes were installed.

Water containment system placed on top of trailer

Commercial Ice maker

Cummings Onan Generator

Commercial french fry maker

A new or good used pickup truck to pull the trailer

2-100 lb propane tanks

6 flavor soda fountain machine

All the necessary, dishware, cups and silverware

Get all the graphics put on the front with the awning and flags and just a simple stereo to play some music

Full stove and oven

Countertop Pizza conveyor oven

Nice under-the-counter commercial dishwasher

I like square so having the full Square Register Retail Kit.

I would to have all my permits and licenses done for me.

Payroll taxes paid for 30 days

And two bigger size refrigerators to proof the dough

Also, payroll paid for 2-4 other people.  I now have the opportunity to give some people jobs.

And now we can start having fun, preparing food for the community and being in a fun environment doing it.

Fairs on the weekend and maybe Lowes on Saturday and a park next to a church on Sundays

Could you come to Michigan with all of this please? In the summer, I have three incredible food trucks that grace our community on different weekends, and they’ve truly been a hit. I take the initiative to promote them by visiting our industrial park, reaching out to key players like Consumers, Northern Logistics, and Peterbilt Trucking repair. The first time, one of the trucks amazed us all by serving 350 people in just 30-45 minutes during lunchtime! It was a vibrant atmosphere, and I had given her a heads-up to prepare. On Friday and Saturday, I actively shared our events on all social media platforms, and she was thrilled to serve 185 customers, a steady flow from 11 am to 2 pm. When Saturday night arrived, she humbly mentioned she would manage about 100 on Sunday, which turned out perfectly.

The energy remains constant from noon to 2 pm, and while she ran out of some items, she was truly impressed. Her offerings include burgers, nachos, hot dogs, brats, and delightful homemade macaroni and potato salads, all at extremely affordable prices. We also have a BBQ truck and the Nom Nom Ninja, serving delicious Asian wraps with their own special sauce. I rotate these talented teams, dedicating time to promote their schedules and menus to the industries. They generously give us 5% of all sales, while everyone working enjoys complimentary meals all day. My team steps in to enhance the dining experience with more seating and readily handle waste management.

I honestly didn’t realize how much traffic they could draw in and the positive impact they would have on the community. It’s a win-win in my opinion! My final event for the season is on Labor Day weekend, followed by a festive gathering the weekend before Halloween, complete with hayrides and pumpkin giveaways for the kids, along with hot cider or juice. They never cease to amaze me with their capacity to deliver quality food so quickly. And during the summer, my husband always dreams of handling it all himself, although he humorously admits he burns water! I remind him to stay in your lane.

When you say “you” can I have employees typing as fast as their little fingers could type while we were closed mine you! 😂 from truckloads of inventory to customs built computer systems to go with new registers, about 5 cleaning service companies (I will be to be busy typing in other supplies) a quick order of a new fleet of moving vans and I’m sure by then time is up. *side note all employees put in free vending machines, and Schwann’s to come back daily. I’m sure big screen Tv would be in there somewhere.*

For Keva Juice www.keva.com, I would do the following:

  1. Upgrade all equipment
    1. Replace all Vitamix blenders
    2. Add Turbochef ovens.
    3. Replace all refrigeration.
  2. Prepay 12 months of ad credits and Google and Facebook.
  3. Buy 12 months of whey protein, supplements, and other nonperishable items.
  4. Prepay any account that we could for 12 months.
