I started doing beer festivals, street fairs, and farmers markets as well. That was about 8 years ago, now I have 4 brick and mortar locations. Trick is - don't take debt and grow organically. It's a lot of work, but it's possible.

Social media can be a really good conduit as well, if you can get someone with some talent posting about your food and how good it is/looks, it could attract many more customers.

It's definitely a marathon - you need to keep at it consistently and gradually your name becomes the one people think of when they need your product.

One way I've gained some traction is offering a smaller free thing to potential clients for bigger things; for example as a photographer, we give a free studio portrait to the committee member that could possibly get us a whole group of clients.

We participate in different events throughout the year to network and meet new people.  You have to be consistent in promoting your business in person and/or online.  We're participating in a fashion show this weekend and I plan to participate in my first ever bridal show in a few months.  I have a vendor that makes lip gloss for us with our logo that I pass out with out business cards at these events as well.  Since you're in the food industry maybe offer samples at some of these events.

I would say start on Instagram and TikTok. Post it at least 3 times a day. Just pictures, shorts, and reels. Show the food off and the process too so people can see that you're clean.

If I see good food pictures I am more inclined to go get that food.

Hey mate, welcome to the Community to!  As above/below, get on the socials, both so people can find you (have menus etc there) and to garner interest (videos/photos of product). Make sure your product is consistently quality. Facebook groups in your area might be worth monitoring (people reaching out for Functions etc), let me know if you are chasing a FB group monitor (it's nothing to do with my business, I just rate it for certain things). Your Insta made me hungry haha

Hey!
our biggest encouragement is to GET IN THE COMMUNITY! Collab with other small businesses. Use social media! Share your story. Bring people along. The more invested they are in you and your story the more likely they will actually invest in the future when you have a food truck. They farmers markets, private events, etc.

work parties, pop ups, makers markets. Those are incredible places to connect and then others can tell their friends etc.
