Feature Request: More Pickup Prep Time Options

Hi,

 

I'd like to request that the team adds "10 minutes" as a pickup time interval. In a cafe environment, there's a big difference between 5 minutes of prep (too short when there's several orders) and 15 minutes of prep (too long when there's just an order or two).

 

Right now the options are: immediate, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hr, 1.5 hrs, etc.

Would love to get a 20 minute option added as soon as possible.

This is a feature request. Having the ability to have a prep time that is varied during congested hours would help with giving the customers more accurate time. If you need any clarifications please ask, thanks!

Thank you Justin. Is there any ETA on this? It is quite crucial for the customer experience, and seeing this open from April of last year is a bit worrisome.

Please please please provide an option to select "No Pickup & Delivery Prep Time" when configuring on online item. Many of our items can only be picked up on a certain day, but we are forced to set a "prep time" that we must reduce by one day every single morning. TOTAL PAIN. (And this is sometimes just impossible.)

 

OR, customers select a pickup time that has nothing to do with our actual available pickup time and then they are totally confused. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE at least give us a way to select "no prep time"  so we can do a work-around with modifiers (customers can then select a pickup date from a list of modifiers but they won't be confused by the Square "pickup time.")

 

It's been SO SO SO long and this is a HUGE pain for any business that offers items in advance for pickup in a certain window. WHEN IS THIS FEATURE COMING?

How are others dealing with times when you get slammed and pick up times are running way behind?  It seems like there used to be a feature to edit pick up times, but Square removed it in an update.  WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT SQUARE?

 

Short of making the prep time farther out, or limiting orders to fewer orders in your prep time window, is there anything else people are doing to deal with existing delays?

 

When you have 40 tickets in line and are running half hour behind, it's hard to call every customer.  There needs to be an EASY way to adjust pick up times on the fly.

@ashc @Seamus My original thread entitled "Please help! We need to be able to edit pick up times!!" was moved and buried in this thread.  Thanks for completely disregarding my concern. 

 

I see here that you're "working on" implementing more time intervals, which is also sorely needed... 20 and 25 minutes would also be the sweet spot for us as well  But being able to easily communicate via quick text with customers in queue when you're running behind is equally important. 

 

Prep time options will only help remedy things after the fact, but when you're already in a slammed situation, there needs to be a better way to remedy that. 

Why are there presets at all? just make it to where we can select any amount of time we want. so easy to change.

Yesterday vwe encounter a problem, usually our orders take 15 to make and thar is what is set up in Square online. This customer ordered 12 different items and it took longer like 40 min (we are a food truck, limited capacity) . It would je great if 5 orders or more set to 30 min and 10 or more to 45 and so on. 12 items wont take 15 min ever.
