Allow specific location options per service - Square Appointments - Suggestion

Preface: In Square appointments under settings, you can choose where to accept appointments from. Eg. At the business location or at the customers location (or both).

 

I am in the electronics repair industry. I require my customers to book before visiting my repair workshop whenever they want to drop off or pick up a device.

 

I have a service that is "Pickup/Drop Off". This is a service I only want customers to be able to choose "At the business location" when booking. However, they are presented with both the option to book at the business location or their own location. Obviously, a pickup / drop off at the customers location is an incorrect option to be presented with as this booking type is only if they want to drop it off at the business location.

 

Similarly, I have an On-site service in which I want the customer to only be able to select "At the customers location", since you can't have an on-site service at the business location. 

 

So the suggestion here is simple. Rather than just have a global setting as mentioned in the preface, it would be great to have "At the customers location" as a selectable option for each service (see image below). That way for my on-site service, I can remove the business location as an option, leaving only "at the customers location" and the other way around for the drop off / pickup service.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a workaround that would allow you to set up a drop-off and pick-up service within Square Appointments. I'll submit this as a feature request to the Appointments team for consideration, as I can definitely see how the ability to have more flexible options for appointment locations would be useful. Our product team look for suggestions and use cases like this to inform future releases often, and we appreciate you taking the time to share how you'd like to utilise this feature for your business.

We don't have an update on this feature request just yet. A number of different factors are considered when it comes to when feature requests are developed, such as demand, other features currently being developed, and more. It's unfortunate this hasn't changed. I will be moving my appointments away from Square again because I've had people booking a workshop drop off service (at my business location) but then choosing "At my location" on the second screen which contradicts the purpose of the service which is to book a drop off. It's confusing my customers and frustrating me that this simple option is not available.
