Hello AdamB,
I have been with square for many, many years now as a salon owner/operator and I am very frustrated with Square as a whole!!! I will be taking my business elsewhere as soon as my current loan obligation is taken care of. I was online with support to find out why my clients could not schedule with me on the hour. Much to my surprise, I was told that if I wanted to schedule my clients on the hour that I would have to make all of my appointments to reflect 1 hour increments!!!! Shocked, appalled, is an entire understatement!!! I wanted to be able for MY clients to schedule their appointments WHENEVER I have openings, but Square said, no!!! For example: Client wanted an appointment for today, February 25, 2025, at 5p EST. Square appointments only allowed for my client to schedule a 6p or 7p EST for an 1-hour 30 minute appointment. Said client also showed me on her side of things that it stated that I did not have anything available for as much as a 45-minute consultation until 6p EST or 7p EST on February 26, 2025. Now mind you, I had availability from 10a EST to 1p EST today, February 25, 2025, without ONE client scheduled. Said client scheduled this appointment last week!!!!!! Beyond **bleep**ed!!!!! I will be taking my business elsewhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you go to Appointment settings double check everything is set how you wish. As they do have some tools to make u look more booked than u are, so make sure they are turned off.
I have my appointments set for 15 minute increments however I do have a service list that changes the times depending on the treatment, and check how in advance they can make appointment in settings I’m set to none now but sometimes people set this to a few hours.
i hope this helps

Yes, there’s a setting that shows you busy for a percentage of your day. I have that turned off. I want all my available slots open. The OP should check that setting.

Hello,
I have this ongoing issue as well. I encourage clients to text me directly to check if there are any openings. I ask them to book any available anytime in future and then edit the time/day myself. Otherwise, I’ll have blank spaces in my day because the website shows no availability.
This works sometimes, not always and it’s additional work for me.
I thought I was doing something wrong, glad to know that that I’m not.
All the best

That’s strange!!! I have my appointments scheduled to reflect availability every 15 minutes. If someone is booked then it will show the next time slots through the end of my day. However, that service has to end at the time I have my close of business. When the client searches for date/time for that service, it will show them all the availability on your calendar. So for instance client books for a lash fill that takes 1.5
hr. Because close at 5, the latest they’ll be able to book is 3:30. But, if someone wants a brow wax and I have that service for 30 min,
latest they’ll be able to book is 4:30.
I would go back and review your Appointment settings and how you’ve set up each of your service times as well to make sure it’s set up correctly. Hope this helps.
