Text Message Marketing

How do I request text message marketing permission at checkout, WITHOUT offering a coupon? I use email and text messaging to inform my clients. I have no interest in offering coupons, ever. I just signed up for text and email marketing, but nothing about this seems user friendly ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. I just want a person to talk to ๐Ÿ˜•

Create a a social media post with your text messaging phone number and ask people to sign up. That way you don't have to offer a coupon if you don't want to. I think you can also download the QR Cid as well.

Yup. So I did that myself. Signed myself up just by texting subscribe to my number. Imagine how **bleep**ed I was when I automatically sent myself a coupon as a Thank You!!?! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

There isnโ€™t a go around ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Hi there again @Megahair ๐Ÿ‘‹ Alanah here with an update from our Marketing Support Team.

Their team has let me know that this would be considered a feature request at this time.

Iโ€™ve shared your feature request with our Product Team, as they are constantly improving our products based on feedback like this. To learn more about how feature requests work, please see this post from one of our Seller Community Moderators.

Our Product Team has found that people are more likely to give a phone number for Marketing purposes if they receive a special offer in return. If you would not like to offer deals via Text Message Marketing, this feature may not be the best fit for your business. "Updates" are better served by email marketing, whereas, typically, text message marketing is more for offers, deals, last minute specials, etc.

I hope this information is helpful but please do let me know if you have any additional questions I could help with โ˜บ
