I weave chains, by hand, one ring at a time, using just two pair of pliers. www.designsbyscaryann.com (click on shop now button to see my square site) I work mostly in aluminum, but also work with brass, bronze, stainless steel, sterling silver, copper, titanium, niobium, and 14kt gold-fill. The average 20 inch chain takes 4-10 hours to weave depending on ring size and weave. I do have a physical store front that I am at three days a week. I'd love to be there more often, but I have a connective tissue disorder that makes that impossible to do.
