I have a square website for a small online store. Occasionally, I'd like to offer workshops for 2 people. It doesn't look like the "free" version of Appointments allows 2 people to be able to sign up for the same slot. Am I correct or am I missing something? I only need this option 3-4x/month. My business is extremely small. Upgrading to the next level wouldn't make sense, financially, for how often I'd need to do this. Advice? Thank you!

Hi @JLMTW. This sounds like something that definitely requires Appointments Plus so that you have access to “class” bookings. So a subscription is going to be required, unfortunately. As far as workarounds…..
- Can you create two available time slots for those workshops? It might require that you create a “dummy” team member who is booked for the second seat. But it sounds like you might be a one-person operation so that wouldn’t present much of an issue, I don’t think.
- You might want to head to the Square App Marketplace and search for appointments/class apps from third-parties that integrate with Square. I can’t say for certain, though, that any of them are free for this particular functionality. My admittedly quick search revealed only paid subscriptions that offer it, just like Square.
I hope one of those helps.

Thanks so much! I started to look into adding a “double of me” as a team member but it looked like I might need to upgrade, in a different way, to even add a member. I’ll explore that a bit further. I appreciate your response!

You shouldn’t need to upgrade anything for multiple team members. Now multiple team permission sets would be an issue, but that wouldn’t apply to your business right now, I don’t think. Let me know if you run into any issues doing that — screen shots, videos, etc are very welcome to help diagnose issues.

I don’t think that is a bad idea, at all. Heck, when your classes take off, you’ll come out ahead. Good luck!
