BRING BACK THE OLD DASHBOARD

There is a reason why people like me were clinging to the old dashboard.

The old dashboard was much more efficient for those of us with multiple websites.

You have just

  • created a way more CLUNKY approach to navigation for people for whom speed of navigation is precious - so many extra clicks to get things done!
  • made me depressed with the overwhelming grey
  • created a situation where I have no idea which site I am looking at when looking at stats (unless I look at the detail) because there is no indication of the website at the top of the pafe - BECAUSE the dashboard was set up assuming everybody has only one website. Very poor show.

Given the fact I'm paying for my websites I'm expecting developments to bring me joy not depression.

Remember Google likes speed of access - and so do site owners!

Do you not want existing owners to enjoy developing more sites? As opposed to giving serious thought to checking out Squarespace again...........

(NB If you only have one site this thread may well be wholly irrelevant to you)

I have multiple sites and I think the dashboard is fine. I think that this is really a personal preference.

Yes, I agree this can be improved, however I do have faith in Weebly to improve the dashboard over time as they have not given me any reason that this wouldn't be the case, taking into account all of the improvemnets they make on a reasonably consistent basis..

As they say, "Rome wasn't built in a day" and "one mans rubbish is another mans gold"

Is there a way I can revert back to the old dashboard? I much prefer it.

I eventually found the button to revert to the old style dashboard. Phew!
Panic over, I can see everything clearly and simply now, without drop downs and hidden bits.
Weebly, the joy of using you was because you had simple tools clearly laid out... please don't try to make functional stuff look fancy.

Looks like I posted too soon since you already found it. Smiley Tongue

Thanks for your feedback, though, we appreciate it!

Where is that button to go back to the old dashboard?  I agree with the other protesters--keep it simple, or at least let users decide which view they prefer.

You'll see the button on your Account page, though only if the account was created prior to the release of Carbon.  Click on your name on the top right, then click on Account.  You'll see the link to the left to go back to the old design.

If you had created your account prior to Carbon, you'll see a link on your Account page to go back to the old design.

If you don't see the link there wouldn't be a way to switch back, though.

I do not like or appreciate this new set up at all.

It is slow, I feel like I cannot find where I need to go, too much time is wasted with the imagery and the dnl popups.  It is very distracting to those who want to be productive.  I pay for my site but this set up is frustrating rather than serving me and I am considering looking for a new host.

Disappointed

Is there a way I can revert back to the old dashboard without having account created before Carbon Update?

I much prefer it

Hello Zetrex! There isn't currently a way to convert an account like that to the old dashboard. Sorry for any inconvenience there.

Well I had created a weebly account years ago before the "new horrible" carbon design was launched, but there's no link back to the old prefered design?

It's not possible to switch back to the old design now, @VZ. Sorry for the confusion.

Because it is too outdatedl? I mean like.. Am i the only one, who misses the old design? The question is: if the old design is also deleted from weeblys root directory, or just "completely"disabled.

The new dashboard does not support Greek fonts!!! The text appears as gibberish and it's completely unusable. Please fix it asap!

This is seriously dissapointing once again. I have been trying to find a subscription solution (because Weebly don't offer it), which I thought I had finally worked out (Moved away from Square to Stripe and added Subbly). However now I can't add a simple button due to new dashboard not offering a drag and drop button. Why are Weebly not offering the basics (Subscriptions or at least custom drag and drop buttons to facilitate subscriptions)? Weebly am I missing something?

Can anyone suggest a better drop and drag website provider that offers the basics?

Agree. Now I'm totally confused -- new one letter is small, forces old users like me to zoom in, then it is impossible to manage it.
