We don't currently have a built-in spellchecker, although some browsers and operating systems will do this for you. Another option is to simply type your text in a plain text editor that has spellcheck, then copy and paste that.

I got this same answer concerning the new roll out (or force out) for the picture editor. I was advised to edit ALL my photos from my computer prior to uploading them to Weebly because the editor was just bouncing sporadically ALL over the place and making a huge mess with resizing and editing... I also can't understand why a basic function such as "spell check" isn't included in a website creator/editor. This is an essential and basic function to creating a website, and again we're being told to do it elsewhere, then bring the finished product back to load to Weebly. Which makes the work process longer... especially since all your text doesn't just go into ONE text box, but many, many boxes, on many many pages and spaces.... Then each edit, must also be run through some other service, with 'spell check' and brought back to Weebly... Is this not becoming absurd? The typical response, is "You can always use another web service." And believe me, the more inconvenient simple things are with the service, the more I am considering it.
(Yes, kinda bitter and angry about it even having this conversation!!! You guys are rolling out all these upgrades and improvements, themes and ways to do ecommerce, great! But first things first! This is a no brainer Weebly Tech guys, get on the ball, this is a simple, reasonable ask, or is spell check asking too much of a web editor???!!!!)

The suggestion to use a 3rd party editor outside of Weebly is ridiclous and completely inconsiderate to the paying customers who are using your platform because it solves problems for us, not becacuse it requires extra steps for basic functions.

Please add a spell check feature, or make it a plug in for sale that only certain users have to pay for.

But the absence is long overdue, and simple mistakes that a spell checker could have found, make us (the web authors) look silly, not weebly.

thank you.

Our engineers made some changes so browser-based spellcheck should work for standard text elements. You might need to add a new text element for it to work - I'm not sure if the changes would affect elements added while it wasn't working.

The spell check doesn't work when using the weebly app to write a blog on my android phone.  it works perfectly well on my browsers and apps but I prefer using your interface to write a quick blog

@Ckish, we still don't currently have a built-in spellchecker, I'm not aware of smartphone browsers that do, though anyone here is welcome to offer suggestion I may not know about.
