product Image size

When I upload an image to the product image box it appears very large, so when customers view the product in the catagories it looks very large. This does not look good for buisness, how can I resize this to make look more professional.

You'll want to resize the image on our computer or mobile device before uploading, since we don't currently have image editing features products like we do for the image element.

Did you upload the image from your computer or a mobile device?

I was looking for this too. It would be nice to be able to do an exact image resize instead of just "eyeballing it" so that images can be the uniform same size.

The best way to do this would be to use a photo editing software like Photoshop or Pixlr.com to make sure all of the images are the same size before uploading. You shouldn't have to eyeball it, though.

Does Weebly have any future plans for adding an image size editing tool? Many of my images are all the same size in MS Office when I go to crop/resize them...but when I upload to Weebly, they are all different sizes! So frustrating. It looks fine on the main website from the viewpoint of a browser - but on mobille devices, it looks a mess and very unprofessional.

All of your images are the same dimensions when you upload them? Can you post a link to one of the pages in question? Thanks so much!

If you want the zoom function for your products you will want to make sure the image is at least 641px wide. If the image is 640px or below it will just be a static image.

This is an older post, @DeeCraft but the information provided is to enable the zoom feature. If the image is over 640px wide the image should zoom. You shouldn't need to resize if the image is larger than this, although 2600px wide seems a bit large. What are you having trouble with in regards to your images?

hi thanks for your reply

the problem im having is that i have uploaded pictures of my products and even if i drop them down to as small as 500 wide they are still getting cropped the customer is not seeing the full product picture the edges are chopped off the picture, no matter what size or orientation i choose they are still getting cropped

thanks Gee

Are all your images the same image ratio, @DeeCraft? For the best results, it works the best to make sure all your images are a consistent ratio, that way the image ratio setting you choose will match the images themselves.
