Where is my site content?

Hi,

I haven't signed in for a while and have not yet published my site, although I had uploaded quite a few pages.

Today I have a new dashboard and although the site name is still there,  if I try to edit the site it appears to be empty, asking me to get started with step one and choose a theme.

Have I lost everything?

Thanks for posting, @LouiseSparrow. Do you see a grey dropdown menu on the top left of your dashboard? If so, click on that and it will load a list of sites for your account. It sounds like you have more than one site and are probably just selected on the wrong one.

I have only one site. I do have access on the menu you mentioned to my friend's site and they are having the same problem.

Can someone look at it please?

What site are you looking to edit, @LouiseSparrow? I see the grey sites dropdown in the account tied to your community profile, and that shows me one site that you are the owner of and one site which you are an editor/administrator of.

I am trying to edit the site that I'm the owner of, but as I have already stated they are both behaving the same way.

If I try to edit it asks me to select a theme, but the site has been set up for some time, it has a theme already and it should not be asking me to set it up as if it is new.

I don't want to select another theme in case it makes the situation worse, if my content is there I just want a way to access it.

Can you please click through the options you see, @LouiseSparrow? We can help you delete the extra site once you reach the dashboard. You will not affect your original site, or the site you are an editor for.

I selected the theme as you suggested, and athough it's taken me through to my content it has replaced the theme I had, and it seems to have changed the name of the site.

I doesn't show a duplicate site or my original one if I go back to the menu!

I'm not impressed.

What is the full url of the site you are trying to access? I see two sites in your account, one that you are a contributor for. Is the site in question just loading the wrong theme?

Have you read the thread? I feel like the answer to your question is already there, however I will re-iterate

I have access to my friend's site: Fire and Wind, it has the same problem I was having.

I have access to 'my' site which was PasseridaeChorus and it had a developed theme but was not yet published.

When I signed in last I could not get to my site without selecting a theme - you told me to go ahead and select a theme.because, you said, it was trying to create a duplicate site which could be deleted and would not effect my site.

I now have access to my content with the CHANGED theme and it has also CHANGED the name of the site to WCS - I don't know why it did that.

Can you fix it?

I haven't seen anyone else report that a custom theme (is that what you mean by developed theme?) would automatically change to a standard theme, or push you back to the onboarding process. If the code was edited there is not a way for us to bring back or restore the changes, however, you can update the site title (WCS) from the Settings tab in the editor.

I mean that I had configured my theme over some time, this was the reason I hesitated to follow the instructions but was told to by yourselves with the promise that it would not break my site. Do you not back up sites? It should be possible to restore them!

My friend is also having the problem I had, so this is not limited to me whether people are reporting it here or not. I assume they are just walking away, which I may well do once I've reviewed my content.

I'm glad this happened before I upgraded, this is not a service I would be happy about paying for.

Hi, I would change my weebly site, but it's a bit like I cannot find the possibility to change it. My domain is www.ilmaestrocubano.com. I have the possibility to change others domains of mine, except the www.ilmaestrocubano.com.
