What if verification using the Meta Tag method doesn't work

Hello,

To verify ownership of my website https://www.mijnpersoonlijkelening.nl/ for an affiliate company, the meta tag method does not work. With other affiliates I had no problem using this method.

The alternative way is to upload a verification file to the public_html directory.

But is this even possible with Weebly?

If it is, can you give me directions how to do this? Or can you do it for me if I sent you this file?

This was the meta tag: <meta name="verification" content="2dd06cfac37b5bfcb1260b901dfdf5a0" />

But when i press verify website with the affiliate company verification fails.

Is the affiliate you are working with using Weebly for their site? If so then you must republish the site for the tag to take effect. Otherwise the verification will fail on the end of whatever search engine console you are using. BTW, Weebly doesn't allow uploading to the public folder.
