Video

Hello

I have been told that if I buy a pro plan that I can upload a video that goes from side to side of the page and that video could go into loop (when a user enters the site video starts automaticaly and when ending it automaticaly repeats). Now I have bought this plan and I cant set that video to be like that. Can anyone help??

@Bernadette  Nvm I fixed it.

Just find in css media querry for mobile or create it by yourself "@Media only screen and (min-width: 600px)"

and than search for your background video class. Its probably this one  .wsite-section-bg-video and just edit it like this

.wsite-section-bg-video {
display: none;
}

Its probably same classes for every theme. If anyone needs help hit me up

I think this is a limitation to browsers, @SantaBroo and the option may have been removed from the editor. Where did you see information that you could auto play videos?

https://prnt.sc/qyw8r4 Here is the screenshot.

But nevermind that its ok i found a way how to do it. @Bernadette  Can you help me with this https://community.weebly.com/t5/Site-Editor/Mobile-site-problem/m-p/167857#M31915

Its this video problem that I foud a way how to play it and everything but the only problem now is that when on mobile it doesnt scale (like its not responsive).

The way I did it is:

- I added the new empty section to my page

- Went to edit background of the section

- Added my video and check that video repeats

- Added a spacer in the section so the whole height of the video can be seen

video is (1920x1080)

Background videos do not play on mobile devices, unfortunately. A static image will display instead which is why the mobile view looks the way it does. I don't know if it's possible for you to convert the video to a gif (quality wise) but a gif will work on mobile.

@Bernadette section videos doesnt support gif type. Also gifs doesnt load very well on your servers. And its pretty hard to create a gif that has a lengt of 25+ seconds.

Is there any way that I can hide this in mobile view since its section and the sections cant be hidden by the "Hide app" in the mobile view.

The video section won't support it, but you can upload it as an image. I didn't realize how long the video was, though. As far as I know there isn't a way to hide a section for mobile only. 😕 There may be a few threads on here where someone has managed to make the edits with some code edits to the html/css. We don't really recommend that unless you are fully comfortable making those edits on your own.

@Bernadette I would appreciate if you could send links to that threads if you know where they are

I have a general question that kinda follows along this thread. How do you put a title over the video like this site did? https://www.perfectdimensionsaz.com/#

Also is it possible to split the screen into two blocks that would have different videos in each block with one title over both?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for posting, @Mcoogan1. There isn't really a way to do that right now with the website editor you have. You could use a static image as the background of a section, though.

Thanks. Let me ask the question a differnet way. What do I need to have to be able to do it?

The site you posted is using our older editor. The new editor that you have does not offer video background at this time, although you could upload a .gif file. I just don't know how the quality will compare.
