Uploading Document Error

I am trying to upload a PDF document to one of our sites, and I keep getting the foloowing message, which never clears or resolves itself:

" Document Converting. Sorry, we can't display this document." 

I have tried inserting the doceument as a text document, and that hasn't worked either. Please let me know if you have encountered this issue before or have any solutions. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like Scribd (who made that element) are having trouble with the document you uploaded.  We have a third party document embed solution in our App Center which might trying:

I am also having this issue.  We are a church and I upload the bulletins, as a file, every week.  Once a month I upload 2 calendars and the newsletter as documents but they won't let me today.

Yep - I'm also encountering the same problem.

Can you please just get it fixed by your tech guys - that is what we pay for!

It's very annoying when clearly quite a few are having the same roblems to just get 'support' andwers instead of practical support - i.e. FIX IT PLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If this is a document you uploaded with the Scribd element, we don't have any control over what happens to the document after you've uploaded it. In my experience if you see a message about it converting, it'll usually be completed if you give it some time to complete.

It has been 15 minutes now and I am still waiting Adam. I have tried text docs and now the pdf. Element no bueno!

I am having the same problem as OP, and the third-party app you recommended is not nearly as good as Scribd (imho). I'd be interested to know if this problem with Scribd is temporary or permanent. I hope not the latter...

I've seen the element display that error, then when you come back again later it will show the document.  Are you still seeing it display that?

This actually happens to me all the time, too.  It says it's converting, but it also says the document cannot display.  It takes forever and doesn't download.  It's a word doc, but I've tried saving as pdf too, and it's the same story.  I"m running on Windows 10.  I think last time, I took a screen shot of the doc, edited it, and uploaded it as an image, but this is a bummer to have to do each time....

I've tried this and it says I do not have permission to use or upload.

This is not good for Weebly or Squibb, unfortunately, if this doesn't get this fixed................

I'm editor but I can get into the site using the owner's info.

 
I just completed two document uploads but I had to refresh the edit page a few times and when I tried to upload a third document, it wouldn't work at all so I logged out.  Frustration was getting the best of me by that point.

I was finally able to get my stuff uploaded using your input - get to the point of the "converting" message and then refresh. An extra step but at least I could do it.

I am now having this exact same problem as well. This seems to be an ongoing problem instead of temporary, Have you contacted scribid on this to find out what is going on?
