Uploaded files in HTML/CSS but can't access with URL

Hello,

I've uploaded files in the "assets" section of the edit HTML/CSS section of my site, and I'm trying to access them using the URL format

http://mySiteName.weebly.com/files/theme/myFileName.ext

Unfortunately, I'm getting a 404 error, even though I've double-checked the file names, extensions, and published my site.

The specific links I'm looking to have work are:

http://analyticsadvisorygroup2.weebly.com/files/theme/AnalyticsTransformationJourney.pdf

http://analyticsadvisorygroup2.weebly.com/files/theme/HealthinessMarketingCampaign.pdf

http://analyticsadvisorygroup2.weebly.com/files/theme/SupplementalFilesQualityCompliance.pdf

Thanks.

After uploading the files did you publish your website, @rbb? It's possible they may not work until the site is published.

Yes, I published the site, but I still am not able to access the files with the URL.

The url looks like it is missing some information, although I'm not entirely sure what should be added. Usually when I see pdf file links, they are much longer and include a series of numbers. Is there a reason you are adding the pdf to the asset folder directly instead of uploading the file through the editor pages?

I was just adding it to the asset folder directly because those were the instructions given in a thread I was following. How would I do it through the editor pages? Could you guide me through uploading the pdf file and then linking to it?

Sure. What thread were you following?
