Upload json file to specified path in my website is required
It's required to upload a json file to specified path in my Weebly website in order to declare association between it and my Android app in Google Play as per Verify Android App Links guide.
Problem is I can't find any tool in Weebly editor to do so, is there any way to do this?

Is the path something that is set in stone, or can you use whatever path you want and specify that to Google?

Hi Adam,
Thanks for your reply. As per Android Developer Guide, assetlinks.json file has to be in the following path:
https://domain.name/.well-known/assetlinks.json
The file is already generated by Android Studio but it needs to be verified by Google on the previously specified path to declare the association; I tried to communicate with them to verify if the json file could be uploaded to the site regardless the path or if there is any other method rathar than this to declare my website association with my app, and the answer was no unfortunately.

Unfortunately, there isn't really a way to have that particular path. Anything uploaded via the editor has a different path, and anything uploaded via the theme editor would be in /files/theme

We have made no changes on our end so far to support different file paths like that, @HelloWorldValue.

This is a deal-breaker. If you can't support '/.well-known', what paths are supported? How about the root path?

The root path is not available, though anything you upload to the Assets folder of your theme will use the path /files/theme on the published site.

Trying to verify my site with Brave. It asks for a file to be added to 'well-known' or DNS text. Are either of these available options?

There wouldn't be a way to add a file to the well-known folder, so you'll need to use the TXT record option. If this is a domain purchased from us, we have a guide on managing DNS records which will help show how to add that TXT record.
