Upload File Textbox Language

Hello,

I've used the Multilanguage app to create a bilingual English/Spanish website. It's very important that the entirety of my site be translated, as I'm a translator and the website itself will serve as a kind of sample for potential clients.

However, there is one element of the site where editing the text is not an option: the upload file feature on forms (see example on my site). The text "choose file" and "no file chosen" within the box itself seems to be fixed/uneditable.

Does anyone know of a work-around for this issue? I've contacted Weebly Support and their best suggestion is to ask on this forum.

Thanks!

Kevin

I don't think we provide a way to directly edit that text within a theme; I'm surprised the app doesn't pick it up and convert it, though. Hmm... What if you added a text element directly above it that said something like, "use the button below to attach your file". That should get translated so Spanish speakers know what to do with the button.

Thanks for the thought! That's definitely a solution to half the problem. I'm actually less concerned with Spanish-speaking users knowing what to do (I think it's pretty clear to anyone who's ever used a computer before), but just the unprofessional-ness of having English text on the Spanish site. I realize it's a pretty minor thing, it's just made slightly less minor by the sector I'm in.

Hey there kgdunn! That's certainly a reasonable concern. You may want to get in touch with the app creator as well, which you can do from the App Center entry.
