Unable to delete drag element box

Hello,

I'm not sure what happened but I was working with a color box element and was inserting a photo on top of it. Apparently something went haywire because the color box disappeared from underneath the images... but now there is a drag element box that appeared and it will not allow me to delete it. So I tried to add text and another image to it but it will not hold anything in the element box. This Element box is not showing up in mobile view but can be seen on the desktop view.

My question is, how do I remove an element box from showing up on the desktop view. I don't want it showing up once I publish the website and I'm too close to finishing the site to start over.  

I have tried to reach customer service but I never receive any replys from them on any issues I had with Weebly service.

1st thing to try...log out of Weebly>>Clear your Browser Cache>>log back in and try again

Believe it or not I did log out and log back in. Customer service actually responded!
Apparently, the element will not show up once the site is publish. Thanks for the help.

I went a step further

Deleted/cleared cache, restarted pc

That element box still visible in editor

and shows as white space online

You might be able to delete the section, but it depends on what else is on the page. If you click on the box you should see an option to edit pop up at the bottom. You can delete the section if you click on Edit>Delete. It really depends on the content on the page, though. Can you please confirm the site name and page name?

Not working for me. I want to put welcome message at the top of the page. I would like  to remove the "drag elements here" box.

The "drag elements here" message won't show on the published website, and will no longer be shown in the website editor if you drag an element on top of it. If you drag a paragraph or title element there you can use that for a welcome message, @30TownSedan.
