Text on Image
Could you please tell me if there is a way to add text right on the image? If not, could you please recommend a photo editor that is easy to use that would accomplish this?
Thank you very much in advance.

@LoveReading: The one I use is paint.net. It is free. After some learning, you may not need any other program.

I use PaintShop Pro.
If you have Microsoft Office, you can also use the PowerPoint program.
Start with a New Slide, add your photo, add a text box, type in your text with font and color of your choice,
add a shape or arrow if you want, arrange the pieces to your liking,
and then "Save As" and select ".jpeg". It combines all the elements into one flawless image.
Great for uploading to a website. I love it for page Header banners.
You can also Save the slide as a PowerPoint slide file in your computer
so you can come back and change something later without starting over from scratch.
Then Save As a jpeg file, and you have a whole new image.

Thank you both. I used Office as it was already installed on my computer. It worked just fine! I may try my luck at downloading Paint.net from CNET also.
