Hi there, im new to using weebly.

I am writing titles on my web page and they are perfect until i publish them, when revisiting the published website it reverts back to the defult text or just removes text which was there, is there a way to get text to save when you publish it or is there a fauly with in the theme i am using?

Would be much appreactive of some help as I need to get the website ready ASAP!

Thank you!

Hello Iona! Is there a specific page or set of content on a page you're seeing that happen with? We'll check things out from here as well.

We are all having the same problem.  My text was just erased for the 8th time.  Not a happy camper.  Also the links feature is not working.  This has gone on for at least 2 days.

Is the text you're editing pasted in from another source, @altecocker? If so that can sometimes cause problems because it includes hidden code along with the text. The editor will attempt to remove that code so it doesn't break the display of your site, although it can sometimes cause other problems.

If you are pasting in text, try pasting it into a plain text editor first, then copying that text to paste in.

I just wrote the text by hand and it still deletes everything. I have a blog post now that has one text box and then a bunch of pictures without text and no matter what I do I have no way to make the post update the text. I'm a bit at the end of my rope here since I spent three hours writing that post and it's kind of depressing seeing all your work just vanish like that without any way to get it back or change it.

Hello EarlGrey! I'm really sorry to hear about that, losing writing is pretty rough. If you can keep that post in place, and contact our support team directly as soon as you can, it would be a great help in clearing up what's going on there.

Dear Queso,

After leaving this comment I kept on searching on the intermet for a solution, and after a while someone on a forum suggested logging out and restarting the browser. After I did that I the problem was solved and I could continue work again.

So the post is already fixed and I doubt you can get any information from that sorry ^^;

But the good news is that the problem can be fixed rather easily, the annoying bit is knowing when or not things actually work. For this reason I keep backups of my postst now.

Hello EarlGrey! It's good to hear you were able to clear things up, at least. Please do let us know if you continue to encounter anything like that.

OK, I'm about to completely lose it on weebly.  This was supposed to be the "simpler" web hosting platform but I'm having the same problem as the other posters and in doing a community search, it seems it's pretty common.

I've changed the font for my site title in my header.  It looks great.  I click outside of the box.  I navigate to another page and then back to the original and it's GONE.  I try to publish, it's not there.  It doesn't matter which paget I type it in - it's always gone.  I've logged out, closed my browser, and logged back in like someone else suggested, but that didn't work either.

Seriously.  How hard is it to make this simple, basic function work?  Please fix this.

Sorry to hear that, @SkatieV. Can you try switching to Safari temporarily and trying that? It's possible it's specific to the version of Chrome you're using in this case.

@Adam

Just tried it on Safari and it still won't work.  This is infuriating.  So many people seem to have this problem yet weebly seems to do nothing about it.  Why doesn't someone just fix the problem so it doesn't occur or at least post a fix to the message boards?

My site title still won't show up.  I have "text" selected (not "off"), I click elsewhere to save.  I even publish it and it looks like it'll keep but it doesn't.  It ends up turning blank again as soon as I navigate away from the page.  I've logged out, closed chrome, and re-started several times without change.  I've tried it on safari without change.

Seriously.

Part of what makes this hard to resolve is that it's tough to reproduce it. I'm using the same operating system as you (although I've installed the most recent mac OS update), using the same browsers, and even the same ISP right now since I'm testing from home.

When I check your site I see your site title on all pages in the editor and live site. Did you have better luck after posting?

Same with me 7x. I'm SOOO Pissed right now!! Different products will have the info one time & then I come back & it's missing the price, or another time & another product will be missing the pic, or the description. Reenter it, publish, it's there & then it's gone!! I'm BEYOND PISSED & want my money back! (Did it stop?)

When you create your products are you making copies of existing products and then editing the information? Which browser are you using? And can you link to a product that has the disappearing content? Thanks so much and very sorry for the frustration.
