Suddenly unable to use photo edit function

Hi.

I was editing a weebly site yesterday and all was going smoothly when suddenly I was unable to use image editor (for images appearing at the top of each page within the site). It had been functioning ok, and then suddenly wasn't.

I have been through the (numerous!) posts on this community site relating to this issue and have implemented suggestions (use different browser, empty cache, etc) but to no avail.

In short, when I click on "edit image" the image edit tools do not appear. I am also unable to replace images. This is true for all pages, even ones that yesterday I had access to full editing capabilities and in fact used them. I am, however, able to use the other drag and drop/app features in the website "build" component. Any ideas how to fix this greatly appreciated. Just to reiterate, I have tried different browser, emptied cache, rebooted PC ... all the stuff cybermortals would do. Thanks.

PS An adendum to this message: While the above issue persists, I am now also unable to drop images (using the "build" dropin image app) into text

If you are using the latest versions Chrome you won't be able to drag/drop the images into the editor. The function is no longer supported and I apologize for the inconvenience. Can you verify the name of the site and do we have permission to add a test page?

Thank you for this. While I was able to perform the function in question, suddenly, mid-session, I was unable to continue executing that function, which suggests it's not connected to Chrome. That being said, I am not using Chrome anyway. The site itself is https://japanwanderlust.weebly.com but is not yet published. I am not having the same problem with my other sites, such as japanphotojournalist.com

Any help much appreciated

It may be something specific to the site, although I do see that you're using an older version of mac OS so the browsers you have installed will not be the newest version. You currently have mac OS 10.11 El Capitan, and the current version is mac OS 10.14 Mojave. Can you try updating to that to see if it helps? It should be a free upgrade in the Mac App Store.
