Search box

The Search box on https://www.sbe17.org/ retuns a 404 error message.  How do I fix that?

I'm going to try to re-index your site, @MarkPersons I'm hoping this will help, but I do believe we may still have an open bug for the search bar returning a 404 error.

Edit: I just noticed that my search bar is working properly on my test site. I didn't have one when I checked so I added it, then published. Can you also try removing the search element and adding a brand new one?

Well, I've removed and reinstalled a search box five times in the last five days, including once in the last half hour.  Still getting a 404 error when doing an inquiry at https://www.sbe17.org/  You might try it yourself with the name Mark as an inquiry.

Do I have permission to publish if needed?

Still not sure what the difference is between your account and mine. I even tried to upgrade you plan on the backend to see if maybe the Professional plan was not registering the search element, but I still get a 404. I'm going to have to keep looking at my account to see what is different about mine that will allow it to work.

Edit!! @MarkPersons I just realized I upgraded you to the next highest plan, but not the plan on my test site. Just tried again and it is working. This is clearly an oversight since it should be available on Pro.. I'm going to relay this information to the team to see if this is the case, or if this is just a fluke that it is working. I'll leave the site as is for now so that at least it works for you for the time being.

Hi, the search box issue has been an on-going problem. Adam promised us that he would provide the update on this bug but we haven't heard anything in multiple threads regarding this bug.

You are the only one who seem to have personally test out the issue and possibly identified the solution. Please keep me updated on the weebly's response. I currently have a third-party search box tool on my site (rickc.online), which is not perfectly compatible with the weebly's responsive theme (no easy way of implementing in the mobile navigation menu). I will revert to the original coding if and only if there's a solid reason to believe it may work.

Details of what Bernadette found have been added to the case with our engineers, @RICKC. As soon as we have word that it's resolved we will let you know.
