SECTION: New module and no help page?

Can anybody explain how the BRAND NEW "section" module works. 

(It's a Structure device - in with 'Divider' and 'Spacer')

In particular I'd like to know how we create links to a specific "section" (e.g. do they come with anchors?)

I've looked in the Support Pages and the blog and can't find any explanation for how it works and I don't want ot try it out on my site until I've seen an example from HQ

They don't come with anchor links on their own, but you could add one with the embed code element and link to it:

You can drag elements to a section like regular content areas, so you can use the steps in the guide above to create links to a specific section.

First time I hear about this new "section". Can you give us an example how it can be used?

I am also afraid to experiment on the site because there is no back button and it takes too much time to remove changes and put everything back.

P.S. Yes, I just thought that I can create a test page for that. But still would like to see some examples like "how do they do it".

Hey there!

Sections have been rolled out on certain themes so far. Check out Birdseye if you want a specific theme with Sections enabled to play with.

The element itself is more or less as it sounds. It adds a new 'section' for you to put elements into. You can control the background, size, and other details, which gives you more options for variety on your site!
