Photo editor and sizing

HELP!!  Why are my photos not fitting where they should?  I've even tried resizing my photos and then uploading them again PLUS I have changed the image ratio - don't know what else to do.  I'm not computer literate as you can tell so if there is a fix, please put it in "dummy" terms for me ok?  ha ha

What are the dimensions of the original images? You might need to edit them to add a little extra space on top and bottom so they match 4:3.

Hi @eotg @Bernadette    this works just gr8 to communicate and if u @ username every message    people wont miss the reply!

The screen shot u supplied...  u r refering to the images being chopped??

Are u using the gallery  to display the images??

If so   u can click on the image to get the little edit box.    Go to advanced   and then click on image ratio      i always use NONE   but make sure i up load all images always  at 4:3

If this is not what u mean, please clarify some more

@eotg

Ah i see what u mean.    They are in the store.  Did u try editing the images  on the page    as they seem to be set to SQUARE.   Im not familiar with STORE settings    but if theres a ration option   set it to none

@whitemonkey I just checked out the gallery setting and they come out fine there BUT I need to use the STORE for my site.  I will go try the none on image ratio and see what happens - sure hope this does the trick.  Thank you - wish me luck.   @Bernadette what are your thoughts on this?

I am baffled for sure!   I have STORE pages (which is what I want/need) but the photos are not showing the way they should.  Some seem too large and some fit perfectly.  Is there any way to mass edit to get the photos to fit properly?

Sample of problem:  Center photo is NOT cut off, this was actual photo but two outside photos don't fit.

It looks like the image ratio option for the element on some pages is set to 1:1, although I think your images are still wider than any of the options for the element.image

@Adam OMG, I've resized my photos and everything BUT..........I DID crop them when I originally took them to cut out waste.  NEVER thought about that as the problem!!  I will work on doing something about this after a project I'm currently working on.   Will let you know if it works.  THANKS!

Oh the joys of having a website

U know   it was all meant to save time and cut down on paperwork

  we have more paperwork than ever  and all the time we should have gained is lost  by sorting out issues attatched to our 'saving-time'  things

Makes u wonder....  i used to watch tele..   no time at all now..

That's great! Well, I mean great in that it worked but not great that you have to fix your other photos. Smiley Sad
