Password protected page

I have created a page that is a 'non clickable menu page'. I have then made 3 sub pages, under this non clickable menu page. My goal is to have all 3 of the sub pages, password protected, and have them set as such. I have entered the password on the web site 'settings' area. However, none of the 3 pages ever asks for a password. All pages are viewable no password required. Does this mean I am unable to set SUB PAGES to password required? It gives you the ability to do that. The only reason I am here with Weebly is because it had the ability to set a password page.......anyone else have this issue? a work around solution? thanks Smiley Frustrated

haven't published it. keep removing it because it's not working correctly.

I even went to another choice to make it work, and took the entry page to the sub categories, and just listed button links to the password pages.

Linked them in the pop up box where it SAYS URL LINK.

And the LINKS DON'T EVEN WORK!

Having alot of regret right now. Guess this is why you can't SEE the password protection in play until you UPGRADE the site. I'll deal with a phone call in to them tomorrow.

I've had a retail site for over 10 years, and this is not a case of a novice idiot not knowing what to do.
I'm used to having a good working, useable site. The reason I'm not using Designer218 is because I NEED password protection and can't get it there. Setting this site up for a DAR chapter and ready to explore refunds with Weebly. Bet that doesn't work out either.

Hi @PJB

When you set the page to password protect then it will not show. However, if you were testing out the pages and entered the password in once (and did not close browser or clear cache) then you would not be required to enter the password again. You can see here in my sample site that I have a non-clickable menu titled "Test" with a subpage called "News", a subpage called "About" and a sub-subpage called "Services". You won't be ale to access those pages without a password.

Hello!

Is it possible to customize the message that guides you to enter the password? also, is it possible to set an automatic logout from the page after 10 minutes of inactivity?

I don't think it would be possible to set an automatic logout. As for the message, I don't think the expose that within the theme editor, although you could look through the partials for your site's theme to see if it's in there.
