In the theme options, why is there none that allow top, Bottom or None?

If you're referring to the title in the navigation bar at the top, mouse over it and you should see a "none" option. This will turn off the logo entirely. We don't currently have options to change the positioning, though.

can I trash the site name that's constantly on top of the design/edit window?
Can you take a screenshot of what you want to hide? I want to make sure I'm thinking of the same thing you are.
