Hello Weebly community
I would like to add a newsletter sign-up form to my website's blog page. Either at the bottom or in the side column. I am familiar with building the form but cannot find the correct method to locate it properly. I do not wish to add it to the footer. Anyone able to help ?
thanks a lot in advance !
Anna

Hi @HelderWater It looks like you are actually on the one theme that doesn't have a sidebar! If you click on Theme>Change Theme you will be able to preview before deciding on one.

The element should be in the list of elements on the left, @HelderWater. Are you not seeing it there?

Hello Adam
thank you for your reply. Yes I do see the element. The issue is I cannot locate it where I wish it to be. If I add it to the footer, it appears on all pages and it should only be on the blog page. Is there any possibility to make it appear on the blog page only ?
thanks again !

Hi @HelderWater Anything you add to the footer area is going to show up on all pages. You should still be able to add the element to the blog page, although, it will most likely show up on the side bar. Can you post a direct link to the page you are referring to so we can take a look? Thanks!

Hello Bernadette

Hello Adam
I sure do. Let me try to rephrase the issue that I am facing : when I want to locate the newsletter form on the blog page e.g. on the left hand column that displays the date and number of replies on a blog post, the element will snap back to its original position (in the side bar where all elements are). The only position that I can "maneuver" the newsletter form in, seems to be at the bottom of a single blog post. That is not how I wish it to work, because that means I should add it for every single post.
Looking forward to your reply !

Thanks for clarifying, @HelderWater! It looks like your blog does not have a sidebar, which is where I would normally suggest dragging it to. You do have a header section, though, which should let you drag it there. That should work for you if you don't mind the signup form being above your blog posts.

Hello Adam
thank you for your swift reply !
I suppose there is no possibility to add a sidebar to the blog ? Probably this is because of the particular theme I've chosen ?
Thanks again for your advice.

That's correct - that particular theme doesn't have one. You could try switching to a different theme, though, since other themes do have the sidebar.

Adam
thank you. One last question : do you know which themes do have the side bar on the blog and which don't ? I don't think I can infer that information from the theme's description, or can I ?
