My Weebly blog does not share my pictures on Facebook

Hello.

I've been having this problem for a very long time. My blog is linked to Facebook and when I publish my articles (which are scheduled) on FB, only a link apperas and no pictures.

How can I solve this, please?

Thank you.

Hello, Sibel!

Can you provide some blog examples of the entries, that didn't display images after they were shared?

Also, can you send an entry that "did" show a picture, on Facebook, after it was shared?

Then I can take a close look to find the problem.

Hello Robin.

This is my FB page - https://www.facebook.com/cosmeticaorganica1/

I am not so good with the computer and I dod not know how to send you what you requested.

The images were displaying up to the begining of this year (directly from Weebly). Now, they do not work. I have to put the images by myself.

But if share a link from a different site, there is an image.

There is a problem with my site.

Thank you.

Sibel

Hello @ciubelina

I see the blog link that has an image and a link to another site that does not.

The crafty.ro site is not hosted by us. But you might be able to reset the cache in facebook tools for that site to see if it will grab the image for you. If it does not grab the image that usually means it is too large and it will not thumbnail it. You will then reduce the size of the image and try again.

Hello Nicky.

Today I had a post planed and it showed the image. It was a smaller image, maybe this is the reason.

Anyway, I will watch this to see if it is fixed like this.

Thank you for your suggestions.

if the post/link is being published to facebook for the first time, then facebook will only show text. Facebook needs to generate it own images and needs talkto the link first.

Step1: So you will first need to provide your blog url link into facebook once (don't publish onto your newsfeed, just copy&paste the url link into the FB newsfeed/pagefeed),this will allow facebook to read the url and it's images, then exit out.

Step2: Then REupload the your blog url into facebookfeed again and your image will be there. (note the ideal image you want should be first image you upload into your weebly blog post, also note the blog image you upload first should  appeal to "facebook link post guidlines" inorder for the correct image to appear on facebook newsfeeds). Once you have a facebook link preview generated with the picture EXIT OUT.

Step 3: Schedule your Blog post through Facebook. THis will ensure you will have a image with your link, if you have completed the steps above.

THis is a way i found to work. Has anyone else came across a more effiecnt method?

I realize this is an old post, but this is the method I have been using, posting the first time, exiting, reposting, for a year now. It is not longer working and no matter what I do I can not make images show. Is there a newer way to make this work?

I would guess that Facebook is using cached info. What's the URL of the post you're sharing to Facebook?

I have been having the same problem.  With no picture you don't get nearly as many reads.  Very frustrating when you're trying to build a brand.

I met the same problem, do not display the picture, only display the connection, no one at all clicks, does this bug have been solved?

When I use Facebook's debug tool, it looks to finding images:

https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.eaxtoys.com%2Fblog%2F234-pu...

https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.eaxtoys.com%2Fblog%2F16-bro...

I'm not sure how our auto-share features work, though, so if that isn't using an image you might need to share directly on Facebook yourself.

By the way, you've got some nice model kits. I've built models since I was a child, although I've never built anything as large as 1/6 scale.

Weebly should be able to share the PHOTO YOU CHOSE YOURSELF sociallly that YOU WANT SHARED. As Wix does. IS THERE an option to do this that I'm missing?
