Making a site work properly on mobile (fonts, headers, hide etc)
Hello,
I've had my website for several years and I've just been settling with using the web view on mobile but I can't take how un-mobile frendly it is. I have been reading thru many of these forum posts trying to figure out how to make my site look right on mobile but I have yet to see a helpful answer. Several main questions:
1) All of my fonts become completely standard and uninteresting when I preview the mobile look. How do I keep my fonts consistent between the web and mobile view?
2) All of my headers completely disappear in mobile view. I have important titles in the header that I need to show in mobile view.
3) I saw one comment said to download the Hide App which I did. When I put it on a page in my website and try to use it, it doesn't let me click on which screen size I want it show for.
Any suggestions here would be helpful!

Thanks for posting, @bwayobsessed.
Some of what you are seeing may be the result of using a custom theme. You'll likely see a much more consistent experience if you switch to a standard theme.
As for the Hide app, I'm not sure if the custom theme would interfere with that, although switching to a standard theme will rule that out as an issue if it's something else.

Hi Adam,
Thanks for the response!
So what you're saying is I'd have to completely redesign my website and make it less unique and personally tailored to my needs to make it function on mobile? Honestly that doesn't make sense to me. Shouldn't I be able to modify the mobile view without ruining my well curated web view? Would switching to a standard theme delete all of the work I've done over the past few years?

All of your content will remain intact so you don't need to recreate that. Also, you can make customizations to the new theme as well if you want to further personalize it. With new themes it's a single theme that responds to different screen sizes, whereas with older themes there was a separate mobile theme used which you can't edit.
