Is Weebly going to get rid of the original website editor? Is it on the way out?

Hi all, we're considering moving our website to the Weebly platform. The new Weebly Square builder does not work for us, our site is mainly non-eCommerce. 

The original Weebly builder (the dark one with the drag and drop) works perfectly for us. But I'm hesitant about jumping onboard a "legacy" builder. I don't want to invest a lot of time into building our site in the original editor only to find out a few months down the road that Weebly is scrapping the builder. 

Can someone tell me if Weebly plans on continuing to offer the original builder? Is there any guarantee of this? On the one hand, so many websites run on Weebly, i cant fathom them just shutting down that builder, but on the other hand who knows...

As far as I know we do not have any immediate plans of shutting down the legacy editor. The majority of resources are put into the new editor, though, but if your site does not use ecommerce tools I don't see that being an issue for you.

I am going to be brutally honest, I don't think they will shut it down for a while, BUT I don't think they are adding new features either, so I would not start on Weebly.  I have taken over a Weebly site for a non Profit who paid 2 years in advance, so I can not ask them to move right now.

The simple feature of UNDO, was requested back in 2016, but they have still not added it, even though everyone asked for it.

The Weebly Builder could be amazing, but alas their focus is on Square and Stores as that is where the money is, on % of transactions, which I understand but I wish they would just upgrade the Square builder with the Weebly feature and we could all move to that.
