I am hovering over this text box that I want to delete but the little x that comes up at the top right won't appear for me. I have my mouse cursor hovering over it too, but it doesnt appear in the screen shot.

I see what you mean, @AdamC.  It looks like that's the Color Block app.  Are you using that anywhere else on the site? You might be able to remove it by just removing the app itself (go to Settings > My Apps, then click on the ... button to the right of the app).

If you don't want to do that, I'd contact the App Developer since they can troubleshoot it for your:

Thank you. Can you please send it to the rest of the team. I have this feature elsewhere on other pages and on another website of mine and I wouldn't want to re-do it.

One thing that has worked (twice) for me is to R click , then click Inspect element which will show source code. When it's loaded it will be highlighted. R click on this, Delete Element! The rest is in the trash bin. Hopefully!

i also have the same problem. at 1st, i was able to put elements inside the new color block but then it won't let me afterwards. we can delete the color block when there's an element inside it.

deleting the entire section or removing the 3rd party app is impractical if the loose color blocks started appearing after you've invested too much time and content on the section.

good news is, as long as there's no element inside it, it will be hidden when published. looks like the empty color block is only visible in edit mode.

although it's still frustrating to see loose color blocks when editing.

this is a very nice feature, though.

hoping this gets fixed.

I solved this issue!
Click on the box. Add an outline or some other thing to make it visible when published. NOW hover and you should be able to delete it as usual!

I have the same problem and it won't go away.

I'm just trying to add a picture to my home page.

After adding it, it won't let me click on the X to delete it.

Tried adding a border to it.

Won't work.

How do I just delete this pic?

It can't be too hard.

If it is, why?

Here's the screenshot.

Why isn't there just a DELETE this photo in the box?

Crazy that it has to be this hard.

Why?

What happens when you click on the X to the top right of the element, @walkerprice? It should just delete the whole element for you.
