How to use the gradient backgroung color?

Hello all,

On my Home page I got the gradient color to be darker on the left side going to lighter on the right.  I don't know how I did this.

On my 2nd page, every time I open the "background", the gradient always fills in from top, being dark to lighter on the bottom. 

Also on my home page the gradient color is just at the top of the page.  On the 2nd page it is going from top of the page to the bottom of the page.

Be nice... I'm old and stupid. LOL

Nothing stupid at all about your question, @dumass.  You probably changed the angle of the gradient with the element setting:
