How to remove a MailChimp Pop-Up sign-up form code?

Hi.

Thanks to google penalising pop-up windows I need to remove the code for my mail-chimp pop-up...but "how do I find it"???

I can remove all the static signups because I can see where they are but the pop-up is not visible to me and only visible to new users. How do I "see" the location for the code???

Please can you assist me?

Hey John! Check for any embed code elements you might have added with the code. You also might want to check in Settings > SEO > Header Code to see if you added it there.

Check neear tha bottom of your home page, @Higby6574. You have some Embed Code elements right above the last button on the page.

I am having the same issue where I am trying to delete a MailChimp pop-up sign up form but I cannot find any embedded code on my website, www.teachhumanrights.com . I checked under the SEO tab under both the header and footer code and there is nothing there. thanks!

Check the Footer Code field for your home page itself. Go to the Pages tab, click on your Home page, then click on "SEO Settings"; it looks like the code for the MailChimp form is there.

It looks like it's in an Embed COde element, @rholmes2004. It looks like a thin horizontal grey bar underneath the first set of elements.

I'm having the same problem.  I haven't worked on my site for several months, and now I've forgotten what the heck I did to add the pop up.  Now I need it removed.  I've looked in Mail Chimp, but don't see it there.  I have looked all over for the code in the site, but still don't see it.  Help! That looks like a lead capture form from Promote, @Andrea. Click on "Promote / Email Marketing" on the top of your account dashboard, then removing it from Promote.

Thanks @Adam. I completely forgot about Promote. Between HelloBar and MailChimp, I had lost track of where I was capturing leads. Smiley Happy

Hello coachcurl! It looks like you still have the Embed Code elements in place on the top of the main page. You'll want to remove those, as well.

Hi - I know this is an older thread, but I can't remove my Mailchimp pop-up ad either, nor can I find where the code is from the earlier posts in this thread. Can anyone help?

Hi Kimberly. It looks like your code is on the homepage. If you log into the editor and scroll down you will see the newsletter. If you click on it, then Edit HTML you will see that it is a Mailchimp code. Click outside of the box, then hover over and click the "x" in the top right corner to delete.

Ohhh, I just figured it out! The pop-up was hosted through an App on MailChimp called Privy. I had to log in to Privy and then DeActivate the campaign, and then the pop-up box disappeared. Woo hoo!!!!

It looks like this is an app on your site, @Nelson1. Go to Settings > My Apps, then click the "..." button to the right of the Popup app. There should be an option there to remove the app.
