How to hide category bar

How to hide category bar on the side.  When browsing through my products, I don’t want my customer to see the category bar on the side. How do I hide it?

Go to a category in Store > Products > Categories, and uncheck the option to show on your storefront. Repeat that for all your categories and nothing should show in the sidebar.

Is this still the same path to achieve this action? I can't seem to find the option on the category page.

It's a little different now, @LorieWhitaker. Add a Categories element to the Store page of your website, then connect the element only with the categories that you actually want shown there.

Is there a way to hide just one category temporarily?

Hi @Mahwahdonna It depends on how you have your categories displayed on the site. Can you please post a link to the live category page?

This is an older thread and the information is not relevant for your account type. For your site you will need to open the editor and click the dropdown in the top left corner. Then click on Shop All or Order Online (depending on which template you are using). Click on Item List or Content (depending on the template) and then toggle off Category Links.
