Did you still need help with this @Tombcurrent? What is the name of your website?

My site is not yet built but my domain name is “currentland.com” my original question was how to ad a “site administrator” but I think Weebly might call it “site editor” I was told by another user to go to settings/editor but from what I can see my settings page does not have a editor link or anything. This should not be this vague or had to do it’s so basic to web commerce. TomB

It looks like you were able to successfully send to invitations to your editors. Once they accept the invitation and create login info you will be able to track the logins.

Thanks for posting, @Dlharper87. We don't yet support adding editors to Square Online Store websites, which is why you don't see an option when you check. Hopefully this is something we can add in the future, though!

Seriously I pay $300 a year for a business website and I can't add a simple admin with restricted permissions? But the basic site can? I'm so confused. I've been with Weebly for years, how is this not a basic thing that you offer to people? How am I supposed to run my business like a real business if I don't have the ability to protect my basic personal information from an employee or admin? This can't be right? Please direct me to how I go about adding an editor/admin to my business site without giving them full access to my personal information and website with my personal log in like every other website on the internet does.

Hi @hannahlynn Can you clarify what information you are referring to? You are using our older editor which allows you to add editors/contributors.

I am not finding any place to add an editor or contributor to my website. Where do I add one? I've looked all over in settings and there isn't any "add editor" button...am I just missing it?

Log into the website editor and click on the Settings tab. You should see an option on the left side for Editor.

Make sure you open the site in the website editor and go to the Settings tab there, @cosmicCake - the editors tab is within the site editor rather than on your account tab.

hello, I am making a website for a school project using this site. and I have added people as administrators and none of them can seem to make a blog, is there a problem with the site or are they unable to make blogs in general?

Hi @ishval Are they able to open the editor itself and edit the site? We have an open bug regarding contributors unable to access the site they were invited to.

Hi, I've been searching how to add an editor for my site and came across this post. I hope you can help.

I set up a Square site for a client under my account, I put in a request to transfer ownership to the client but the response I received back looks like this might not be a good idea (too complicated/risky). Customer services have suggested the following:

  1. If you otherwise DO NOT wish to move forward with the site move, here are your alternate options:
  1. The site can be rebuilt entirely from scratch in the new account.
  2. You may consider using Editors (which you can configure in the site editor) to assign someone else as an administrator for the site. The other party can log in using their own email address and password, and edit only that site without having access to the rest of the account.

But  can't see where to add an editor - like the prople in this thread, there is nowhere to add an 'editor'. I've gone to the Website editor (I'm assuming this is just the 'edit Website' option) and there is nothing in setting to allow this.

Please help. How do I add an editor to a Square site, I need clear instructions.

Thanks for posting about it, @MelGee, and sorry for the confusion. The Editors features is not actually available yet for sites build using the newer website editor, so that choice shouldn't have been included in the response to you. Hopefully this option will be available in the future for you, although right now you'd need to rebuild the site in a new account.

Ok so has this been resolved? I just created a new site and I have a web specialist helping me migrate my old site from another host to this one, but I need to create a site admin in order for him to do so. How do I add an admin? I've read the entire thread and have had 0 success finding an editor button. Please help!

Welcome to the Community, @CJC1.

It isn't currently possible to do this with a Square Online site. If you're using team management with Square, you can add someone as a team member and then give them access to Square Online, though.

i am seeing a button now to Add an Administrator and I can enter and email address and add someone but it seems like they cannot see my site when they login with their own username. Is this functionality still broken?
