Hi @simonsmithlive,

If you go to the Site Password area in settings, erase the password, save, then re-publish, your pages should all be visible.

Hi mate,

I had similar problem and your solution worked. So thanks for that. However, when I try to put a status on facebook, the preview section is displaying "This area is password protected [401]". Even though the site is not password protected anymore.

Please help.

Hey @Kaifi - this should be fixed for you now.  Facebook had cached info about your site which I cleared with their debug tool.

Hi Adam,

When i Google for my website, the same problem as Kaifi appears for me. The site title is

"This area is password protected [401]"

Is there any fix for that? Thank you!

Hello skannerup! That should be cleared as soon as the next round of indexing is complete. Did you have a password in place previously?

Hi Queso,

I did a lot of googling and found out about the automated way search engines update it and updated facebook's cache etc. I did previous have a password, but removed it. It's all good, just need to wait for the site to update on google's search engine 🙂

Thanks!
