Google Search Console Re-direct Error after Changing URL
Hello.
I changed a location page URL recently (from https://www.bedbugflorida.com/st-pete.html to https://www.bedbugflorida.com/bed-bugs-st-petersburg.html) and Google Search Console says it won't index the page due to a redirect error. I test the page and it says it is available for indexing. I have no code in the Weebly header or footer boxes. I have not set up an internal 301 or other redirect through the Settings/SEO menu. There are no redirects in place at all and I am confused as to how to get this fixed. I have tried to submit to get the page re-indexed in GSC and the error stays. Any advice on how I can locate whatever error Google is seeing? I've requested Validation as well, but with no changes made, I can't imagine it will be succesful.
Thanks to anyone who can assist!
Robert

The best way is to NEVER change the page url. But if it cant be helped, make sure Google indexes the page BEFORE DELETING IT.
so remake a page with the old URL add some text, a few pics etc wait til its indexed, then delete it and then do a 301 re direct to the new page.
Oh, you cant hurry Google. There are bugs in GSC too... some times pages are indexed within minutes, sometimes days... and pages with a small amount of content take even longer

@whitemonkey makes a very good point. Don't change URLs on an established site unless you've no choice.
A few years ago I changed the URLs of about 30 pages (of about 50) of a website because I thought they were too long and unwieldy. Even though I placed 301 redirects my visitor numbers immediately plummeted - I get the majority of visitors from search engines, especially Google. It took about a year to get back to where I started.
