Embed Code Help
Hi there, Weebly Community! I need some help with a bit of HTML code I've been working on. I don't want to finish writing it out until I know that it can properly be embedded in my site. I've included the code below - whenever I try to embed it, the code shows up as plaintext, not in the proper format. Is there a problem with the actual code, or is it a Weebly issue?
Thank you!
Code:

This timeline code contains no html. What you have here appears to be css mixed together with regular paragraph text. A correct implementation of code would require your content to be encapsulated within html tags that reference your timeline css classes. Since you have no html tags, your "code" is simply going to render as regular text.
Follow this tutorial on how to properly create a timeline.
Explanation: https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_css_timeline.asp
Code example: https://www.w3schools.com/howto/tryit.asp?filename=tryhow_css_timeline
The code example contains both css and html. The html belongs within a Weebly Code Element on your page. The css belongs in the css area (usually main.less) in your Code Editor (click "Theme" in the Site Editor menu item in the top navigation, click "Edit HTML/CSS" at the bottom of the left-hand sidebar, add the timeline css to the main.less code).

Hi Paul, thanks for the help! I have little experience in HTML and CSS, so can you explain how I would add HTML tags to make this all work?
