Editor Access - Editor can't access site with admin privileges

Hello,

I've given an editor admin privileges to edit my site, however, they can't login at all. This is through their email address. 

I've tried to replicate the situation by using a dummy email and: 

1) never received the link to login page for editor

2) even with known link, I can't access the editor page. 

IS this a bug? Why isn't it working?

Which site are you having trouble with, @achowd? I checked the site in the account tied to your Community profile but didn't see any invited editors.

I am running into the same issue.  I received the invitation and registered but the site does not show up in my sites on the main Weebly page.

The site is www.ocmulgeeblacksmithsguild.com

Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm, I see you made an account under the same email address that was invited to edit. I'm not sure what happened, though. The easiest way to fix it would be for the site owner to resend the invitation (there's a link to do this in Settings > Editors). When you click the link in the new email invite it will ask you to log in and then add it to the account you already made.

i faced the same problem but i received inviting mail but when i clicked login it won't take me to the editor.

It turned out that this is an issue on our end, and our engineers are working on fixing it. Sorry for the trouble, guys!

Hi @Jeremy1. Yes, this was fixed months ago. What is the name of the site you are having the issue with?

I fumbled around and a solution surfaced.  It seems to be caused by one account having multiple edit sites.  The problem seems to be solved at this time.  Thank you.

I am having this problem with https://msstransport.weebly.com/

I invited msstransweb@gmail.com (which I have access to). When I click on the link in the email, I go to the weebly dashboard and it says: 

You do not have any sites yet

this also happened with another site I set up recently and a different user.

Hi there. I see a ticket submitted to support from the email address msstransweb@gmail.com requesting to have the site moved into a new account. In order to do that the ticket must come from the email that begins with munschmarketing@

If you have access to that email can you please resend the request? Thanks so much!

I'm having this same issue, editor con't access the site. What can I do?

I am having the same problem. Someone gave me editor access to her site, but when I click the drop-down arrow to see which sites I have access to, hers doesn't show up at all, so I am unable to access or edit it as admin.

Hello,

I have a similar issue.

I gave permission to three gmail accounts to be administrators of the website (ecrr.ca) and apparently none received the invitation.

I tried with one of my other email account and I received the invitation to access the website.

I deleted the three invitations and tried again several times, but nothing is happening.

What should I do in order for them to have access to the website ?

Hi @JoCa I'm only seeing one gmail address as a contributor. I'm not sure if this is yours or one of your contributors?

I invited 3 others gmail addresses all starting with ecrr.

Any of them got the invitation's email to become administrator.

Do you have access to any of those emails to confirm or are you just relaying information? Can you have the editors search their email for "weebly" making sure to check spam folders?

I have access to one of them. I checked and there is no emails from Weebly.

I asked them to double checked and they said that they haven't received any emails from Weebly.

That's why I am here to look for help.

Hi again. I just added my email to test and I received the invitation immediately. Mine was sent to a gmail address.. Do you have any more emails you can test out?

I tried on my professional email and it worked. It wasn't a gmail though. 

I deleted the invitation and send them again several times as they didn't got the invitation emails.

That's very strange. If they log into the site with their credentials does your site show up under their "sites contributed to" list?
